Casey Crosby serves as Controller for Murray Commercial, where he oversees the firm’s accounting operations with a focus on financial accuracy, process improvement, and strategic support for the company’s continued growth. With over six years of accounting experience, Casey brings a well-rounded background that combines public accounting expertise with hands-on private industry leadership.

Prior to joining Murray Commercial in 2024, Casey spent three years in public accounting on the tax side, where he gained extensive experience working with real estate entities, partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations. He also developed significant experience navigating complex ownership structures, multi-entity organizations, and layered partnership arrangements, giving him a strong understanding of the financial and tax considerations that often accompany sophisticated real estate investments and operating businesses. This diverse foundation allows him to approach financial management with both technical precision and practical business insight.

Casey earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2023. He is recognized for his process-driven mindset, commitment to accountability, and collaborative leadership style, helping to create efficient systems and a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Before transitioning full-time into accounting, Casey enjoyed a distinguished 13-year professional baseball career, reaching the Major Leagues in 2012 as a member of the American League Champion Detroit Tigers. Most recently, he joined the Kane County Cougars in 2025, contributing to the organization’s second consecutive league championship. His athletic background continues to shape his disciplined approach, competitive drive, and appreciation for teamwork.

A resident of Elburn, Illinois, and graduate of Kaneland High School, Casey remains proud of his local roots and is dedicated to contributing to the success of the communities Murray Commercial serves.
